College - First Year Seminar

Education is a vital asset in the world, but nowadays some students are not aware of this value. A further issue is that many students who make a decision to continue a college do not know required expectations and norms to success in college. There is a video on the internet called "I am worried about my grade " about unacceptable behaviors. These behaviors are that although student took a bad grade from first and second essay, he did not make any effort to solve this problem, so he took a bad grade from third and fourth essay; he did only 3 of 12 homework because he did not understand anything from these home works, not go to ask any question to his professor and not go to writing laboratory; he has four absence, but he do not know the grading policy to graduate; he left the final exam early to make a telephone conversation, while he had to write four pages for essay in his final exam, he wrote one and half page; he was not available in professor's office hours, so he could not meet the professor; and on the last day he wondered about whether he is going to pass the course or not, and he is going to meet his professor out of professor's office hours. To explain why these behaviors are wrong, how they effect in students' success, and how students can avoid making these unacceptable behaviors; I have organized my essay into four main sections. In the first section, I provide some information about students' responsibilities and monitoring themselves to success in college. In the second section, I discuss about how the campus resources will give support to students to improve their assignment results. In third section, there are some necessary topics about interfacing with the professor. I end my essay with a fourth section that is about time management.
Many students make a decision on their education themselves, and then identify their goals because success in college starts with making a decision and identifying their goals.
