Images portrayed by the media will make people do almost anything to fit American standards of the perfect body. Plastic surgery offers a quick fix to help achieve this goal. When one chooses to get breast implants they have to consider more than the cosmetics. They have to take into consideration; the different types of breast implants, the many costs, the actual procedure and the health risks size effects that may occur. Breast implants are one of the most popular forms of plastic surgery in North America. The desire for bigger breast is only one side of the story. There is another side of this story that doesn't get the attention it deserves. These are the stories of thousands of women who have suffered tremendously after having breast implants. Stories such as: one woman had to have both implants rupture and had to go through a painful surgery to have the implants removed and to have the silicone scrapped off her ribs and tissues. This woman still suffers from chronic joint pain and headaches. Another woman also had her implants rupture but could not have them removed because there was too much debris blocking one heart chamber.
