Being a big rap fan, in which the lyrics generally talk about society and all the issues keep me aware of what is going on and how there is no justice and no true freedom. Along with rap I listen to other genres of music, which have their own way of sending out a message and expressing themselves. I see music as an expression and it is up to the listener to perceive it. The basement is the only place where I could really be into the music since I am alone. And music is my method of communicating with myself. .
In my free time, I enjoy working out. It is one activity I can do to keep me busy and healthy at the same time. Since I play a lot of sports, it is important for me to work out on a regular basis in order to keep fit. A reason why I prefer to work out in my basement is because it is easy access and convenient which means I do not have to go out of my way to a gym or sports center. This is definitely beneficial in the winter because all the equipment I need it right there and I could always listen to my music simultaneously. I could have things going the way I like and want it to as compared to a gym where it is not individual comfort but rather everyone on the whole. Working out in my basement gives me privacy and no interference from others. It also a stress reliever. I could workout at any time of the day according to my mood without even bothering anyone else. Having all the equipment in the basement gives me more room to work out and I feel comfortable in it. .
The computer is another device which I use a lot. It obviously comes to assistance in schoolwork but also keeps me connected around the world. I can search and learn about all the things I have to and am interested in and at the same time be in touch with my friends in different parts of the world. I can utilize my computer in several different ways. For instance, downloading music, researching, electronic mailing, designing and so on.
