Globalisation

Globalisation is the process which enables the geographical, social, cultural, political and economic movement internationally more easily.
On one hand, people can travel to different places more easily by means of different transportation. Multi-national companies are able to invest and do business with other countries. Offices, factories, etc. can be built in nearly most parts of the world. They also spread new technology, most updated information, culture, medical supplies and values all over the world. Rich countries invest in poor countries and help the people to have much better life than before.
On the other hand, people can more easily spread diseases around other countries. For example in Hong Kong, we had gone through the bad experience of SARS started from March to June. The reason is that people can go around the world so easily that they spread the disease from one place to another. Another example given is that the computer virus "Blaster Worms" can spread to nearly most of the places around the world because of the easy network communication. Globalisation has been connected to people who havent got a job because the network is running so easily, companies wont need so many people to work for them. Moreover, there are more competitions for business and jobs. The most damaging point of Globalisation is Pollution. Why? Because people had built so many factories, houses, roads, railways, towns and cities, pollutants are emitted in places they never were before.
All in all, no matter how much bad or good points there are surrounding Globalisation, it is a natural process that not all people can control it. If we improve the bad points, then maybe Globalisation can be a very good thing. .
