Computer Drama

            
             The use of computers has widely expanded in the past ten years. Computers are used in most everything a person does in today's society. There is so much more than turning on the computer and getting on the Internet. Most people turn on their computer and go straight to the Internet, not even realizing the thousands of processes the system goes through in a matter of seconds. Computer network connections, network software, and network security, all play a major role in how a computer operates.
             Computer network connections are more than just a modem or a phone line plugged into your computer. Connections are the signal transmitted from the modem that then go through the wired connection to send a signal back to the computer that allows access to the Internet. Not only does it allow the computer to talk, it also allows the computer to communicate effectively with the networks.
             Computer network software is the infrastructure that allows the computer to work properly. Software allows the computer to open programs and access data that is needed to operate certain programs. Some software will come manually installed on the computer and others will need to be installed by a disk. Not only is the software the brains of the computer system, but it also controls what the computer can and cannot do. The software is one of the most important parts of computer networking that can allow multiple computers the ability to talk to each other on one network.
             Network security is the most important part of computer networking. Most of today's computers are installed with both an anti-virus and a firewall. However, if the computer does not come with both items, it should at least have an anti-virus preinstalled. Security is so important to keep the computer from being hacked into by other people and allowing accessibility to important information that is on the computer or network. For example, several people in today's society have online banking or credit card access that might allow a hacker access to banking account or credit card numbers.
