A Halloween to Remember

Ths year, come October 31st, will be my nineteenth Halloween. It will be my very last Halloween as a teenager, and I am planning on making it a memorable one. Ever since I was a little child, I have loved Halloween. I would always plan out my costume months ahead of time, route out the neighborhood I was going to trick or treat in, and carve the scariest jack'o'lantern my little brain could come up with. This year is going to be no different. I am going to plan everything so that it is just perfect, including my costume, where I am going to go trick or treating and what I am going to do afterwards. .
Today is October 12th and that means that there are only nineteen days until Halloween night. My boyfriend and I went to Santa Cruz last weekend, and I found the perfect little vintage dress for my costume. It was a strapless, knee-length party dress, that was hot pink. It was tight up in the bodice area and puffed out from the waist down. On the front it had tiny buttons that went from the waist to the neckline. I bought the dress, along with a silver tiara with pink rhinestones for only twenty dollars. I was going to be the prettiest fairy-princess around.
When I got home, I began to transform the dress into my masterpiece. First, since I am too small to wear strapless dresses, I sewed pink ribbon onto the neckline to make a halter strap. After I did that, I sewed some of the same ribbon around the waist line to match. Then, I hot glued tiny, pink jewels onto each of the buttons to add more sparkle. After all that was complete, I sprayed the fluffy part of the dress with Krylon glitter spray. I also sprayed a pair of my old mary-jane's with the same glitter spray. Out of a box in my closet, I fished out an old magic wand with a star on top, and a pair of ratty, old angel wings. The wand would be fine the way it was, but the wings needed some major revamping. I layed the wings out on the ground, and began to spray them with all purpose adhesive.
