Everyone has always wanted to know the answer to the greatest question ever known to man: Why do we wear the clothes we do? I have actually always thought about why we wear what we do, and it is probable that we have reasons why we choose certain colors, styles, and bargains to cover up our naked bodies. Let's face it; people express their personalities through the clothes we wear. The reasons why we choose the clothes we put on are a result of what is going on in our brains, our culture, and the actual clothing itself. .
The main thing that makes us who we are is our brain, so I presume that the thing that influences what we wear the most is also our brain. Our interests our exhibited through what we wear, especially in T-shirts. When I was in middle school, all of the boys were either wearing a shirt of a wrestler or a hard rock band. Pretty much everyone had an N.W.O., Goldberg, or Stone Cold Steve Austin shirt in their closet. All of us "angry" suburban white kids had the Korn and Rage Against the Machine shirts to show that we were going to do what we want. When we were in a bad mood, or just glum, we were inclined not to wear clothes with pictures or designs on them like we did when we were in a joyous mood. As a matter of fact, we don't even like colors; we prefer to just wear black. In other countries, wearing certain colors describes what moods we are in. In Spain, when a person is angry they wear red, and when they are happy they wear yellow. Although it would objectionable in America, in Spain, if a person wears the color green, that means that they are looking to "hook up." Back in the states, during political races, we wear shirts, buttons, and hats that support our favorite politician. Self confidence is probably the most influential in the styles of clothes people wear. I am pretty sure that I have never seen an overweight woman in a two piece bikini, even though they have the right to do it just as much as a supermodel.
