Political Parties could not be help from being formed due to the complex but totally needed way the constitution was written. It made to many different ideas of how parts of the government should be operated and how much power it had. You should learn a bit more on how they where forced to be formed by the end of this paper.
The constitution was written not in favor of political parties but do to the way it was written it kind of forced them to come about. The U.S. government contributed to the formation of political parties by the complex system of checks and balances, which was established by the constitution, which makes it necessary for the executive and legislative branch to cooperate to develop a policy. Also the division of legislative power between the federal and state governments makes it necessary for advocates of such policies as the regulation of commerce to seek representation or strength in both federal and state legislature. Since these were too complex and difficult to achieve by impermanent groupings, the formation of permanent political organizations was unavoidable.
The Federalists favored an active government, a treasury that played a vital role in the nation's economic life, and they were pro-British. They grew strong support from merchants, manufactures, and residents of England. Federalists where totally against the idea of political parties. They believed that political parties were a source of corruption and an impediment to the freedom of people to judge issues on their merits. They also stated that political parties might be able to seize control of the government. Today these beliefs real are not that relevant because we really do not base are vote on what group we believe but we do on the ideas of the candidates.
