The Mexicn American Neighborhood

There are many different cultures that surround us daily. Different cultures vary throughout the world, and many also change from household to household. The neighborhood that I lived in expressed many different cultural characteristics that are hardly ever seen here in the States. It is a tremendous change of cultural habit from Mexico to the United States. A different cultural experience will change and influences the way people feel towards different cultures. My hometown in Mexico differs in many ways from my home here in America.
The most important difference between the both is the way people think among the different cultures. The Hispanic culture thinks very highly of the family and strong moral values while on the other hand, Americans show more dedication towards their jobs and making money. Hispanics would drop anything they are doing for the family if it is needed. The families in Mexico are very close. They spend as much time together as they can. When we were brought up we were taught to spend as much as time as possible with your loved ones because one day they could just be taken from you. When a family member moves out they try to stay close enough to the family, that whenever its needed you can go spend time with them. The family is somewhat considered a hide away. Whenever you needed time by yourself you would always go to the family so they can help you get through difficult times. Families will get together at least three times a week. In the US, people are so tied down with their jobs, and trying to "make it" that they are taken away from what's important to them, family love. Families in the states will only get together on special occasions such as Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas etc. Every household in America lives to try to improve their own lives, while Hispanics live to improve the lives within the family.
The appearance of both communities is a major change in itself.
