(Chomsky) His look on bias in media comes from mostly the wealthy political right wing. The reason for this is because the media will make its money by selling advertising. Therefore the wealthy right wing business owners do a lot of advertising for good pliability. He also feels that most of the journalists and managers of the media belong to these parties themselves.
The last type of biased looked at is the "Narrative bias". (Merrill) When the media goes out looking for new story they want to find one with a good plot. By plot I mean like a good book or movie, it needs to have a beginning, middle, and end. The problem with this is most news in the world doesn"t happen this way. But the idea of the media is to get the viewer, or reader caught up in the news, to give the effect of watching a movie or reading a best seller. The media wants to give the news drama, so it will keep the reader or viewer happy. This causes the media to try and go with the good, verses evil, approach in the story. Different experts will come in and give ideas on what's going on which makes the story even more exciting.

Now that we see some of the types of media bias, other questions come to mind. What are some examples of these types of bias, and what does the media say bout being bias. The best examples I could find with a biased media are found in politics. .
Media plays one of the biggest roles in politics today. With out the media a person running for a political seat wouldn"t have a chance. On the other hand, sometimes the media can single handedly kill a persons chances of winning a political seat. The problem appears with the ideas of the candidate and his or her issues. If the media does sent agree with a candidate issues they can make it very difficult for he or she to win the election. The media can give bad press to the person running for office. With only 16 percent of the reporters calling themselves Republicans while 44 percent call themselves Democrats, one has the right to suspect that reporting is skewed (Freedom Form).
