             As you all know abortion is a very controversial subject among many people. Those who advocate pro-choice declare that a women has the right to body self-determination. They believe that abortion should be available as a choice to all women. They stress the importance of quality of life for the women and deplore the situation of the "unwanted" child. And on the other hand those who are against abortions declare that abortion is murder and a violation of the fetus's right to live. Many believe the acceptance of abortion will lead to the acceptance of sexual immorality.

             There are two types of abortions: a spontaneous abortion occurs without medical interventions of miscarriages. 25% of all pregnancies end in spontaneous abortions. An induced or medical abortion is one that is brought about by taking medications or using instruments stop the normal course of pregnancy.
             The four types of induced or medical abortions are:.
             Menstrual Extraction is performed during the first trimester. Is done by suctioning out the lining of the uterus.
             Dilation and Evacuation is done during the early second trimester by suction to remove the fetus and placenta.
             Prostaglandin or Saline Administration is a procedure where labor is induced by injecting prostaglandin or saline solution through the uterine wall into the sac holding the fetus.
             Hysterotomy is a major abdominal operation essential to a Cesarean.
