Analysis Paper-Bible Book of Matthew

If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, "What shall we eat?" or "What shall we drink?" or "What shall we wear? "For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly father knows that you need them
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."(Holy Bible p888 6:25-33).
While many familiar phrases have come out of this sermon the theme is concrete. Jesus speaks of faith in God for all things and not wanting for material or worldly things. We see examples every day of people's lust for expensive things: clothes, food, jewelry, and other luxuries. But while these things are nice they are not what we should be lusting after and making the aim of our existence. Rather we should have faith in the lord for through our devotion and sincere commitment to him we shall not want for material things. I do not believe Jesus was alluding to the Lord making things just appear, but that through him all things are possible. For example a young man or woman may want a new car but God is not a genie and is not going to make one appear for the faithful. He does however give them the ability to work for their goal. He gives us the ability to obtain things we work for, it is the same with all material things while the talent is God given the will to use it and the how to use it is left for us to know through our devotion. Jesus while teaching and traveling didn't have a steady job, while he is referred to as a carpenter or the carpenter's son; Jesus was more of a preacher than he was a carpenter. Yet he was clothed and fed by disciples as he traveled and preached. The lord provided for him.
