The Problem with Animal Testing

Every year, millions of animals are tortured and killed in laboratories to see whether products and medicines are safe for human use. Without even knowing it products we use day to day could have been first used in experiments on thousands of animals eventually leading to their deaths. Have you sprayed perfume on yourself, have you used toothpaste on your teeth, have you washed your hair with a typical shampoo, many of the products used to perform these tasks had to first be tested on innocent animals in the most bizarre ways possible. .
Animals feel pain just as we do the kind of pain we are scared to even imagine of yet we still administer this pain to fearful undeserving animals. Mass testing on animals is inhumane there is no reason animals should suffer and die for new cosmetic products to be brought into the market; there must already be enough shampoos to choose from. Animal testing in many cases can yield false and misleading results. Lastly animal testing is out-dated there has been many technological advancements to displace these activities. One way to end this complication is to simply make animal testing illegal. In this paper I will be using information from one of the biggest organizations against animal testing, the PETA group.
Some may disagree and believe animal testing is a positive aspect of scientific research. There are significant groups who oppose PETA's anti animal testing claims one of which just happens to be PETA-SUCKS. People may believe animals are giving their lives so we can live better ones. The animals didn't volunteer to be experimented on; animals have just as right to live freely on earth as we do, even rats. Some may argue animal testing is a necessity for finding cures. Animal's body systems are very different from humans which means they react differently than humans would. This would seem to show that testing on animals isn't a very good way of research anyway.
