             In addition, over a third of Chinas cities dont meet the air quality standard that is required for healthy air inhalation. The gases that are being emitted in Asia are actually increasing bad weather over the Pacific Ocean and even altering the weather patterns of North America. .
             Outsourcing is a very popular thing for companies to do in the past few years. In fact, in 2013, there were over 2.5 million jobs from the US that were outsourced, and the main reason for this was because of the decrease in costs to the company (Job Outsourcing Statistics). There are many operational costs that are present, including the labor, equipment, taxes, raw materials and supplies, and environmental costs. The latter is the biggest reason for many companies to have outsourced though. Because of the lesser restrictions on air pollution in China, its cheaper. In fact, in China, there isnt any regulations limiting the total annual air emissions for volatile organic compounds (Mitchell). .
             The toxic air pollution from industries in China have gotten so bad, that it is being equated to a nuclear winter. In February 2014, there was a smog that had settled in over seven provinces in China that lasted for at least four days. The concentration of Beijings PM 2.5 particles those small enough to penetrate deep into the lungs and enter the bloodstream skyrocketed to 505 micrograms per cubic meter. The safe level, according to the World Health Organization, is 25 (Kaiman). The main cause for these levels of smog is the industrial air emissions.
             There has been an attempt at trying to reassure the public about addressing the problem. In 2013, China revealed a plan to cut air pollution in the smoggy North China plain [and] Shanghai and Guangdong in the south (Hornby). Also, Beijing was introduced to a system of emergency procedures in case the pollution levels stayed as hazardous as they were for more than three days in a row.
