My Autobiography - Life in a Syrian Family

I was a healthy baby, after weaning I started to drink milk from a regular cup; I also started to eat eggs, cheese, and soup. Most of the food that started to eats at two years of age I actually enjoyed; I had no allergies either to food or medicine. .
Since I was a baby my parents and siblings used to always talk to me in both Arabic and English, and that is what stimulated my development faster. The first word I said was "Mama and that was around when I was a one year old. Around two years of age I started to develop my language, I would say things like "Ana bade boa" which in Arabic means I want water (boa) is not the whole word it was part of the baby's language which everyone understood. When I was a baby I used to be very shy I didn't talk a lot only when I really need something. Today I am not as shy as I was when I was a baby, I am bold and I go for what I want; also I am confident and I know I can achieve what I need to. I was very attached to my mom, but not to the point to where if she left me in the room with someone I didn't know, and I wouldn't cry and hit her when she came back; I would be very calm and attend to whatever I was doing. I was also much attached to my dad as well; even though he had a job, he still took care of me and brought me everything a baby would want. My favorite toy that my father got me as a baby was the rattles; I used to play with it all the time and never got bored with it. .
As I grew up I lived in a village my whole childhood, I attended the preschool in my village. Our country was a collectivist country, so everything we do benefits the people were around. For example, if I were to study good, get good grades, and become a doctor the whole village would benefit from me because I would be the village doctor. Many things were looked down on in my village, there were many things we couldn't do because we were not only Syrians but we were also girls.
