Geopolitical Changes in China


Role of china as a balance between superpowers decreased. Processes of globalization and regionalization intensified spreading of relations across the borders in eastern and central Europe. NATO and European Union accept new members from the communist bloc and develop their internal policy towards Russia. Exactly in this period of time China choose a road to the superpower and during last 10 years of 20th century achieved certain positive results which allows world community to treat China as a potential superpower. Such new role was gained through various challenges that China faced on its way of development. Difficulties became a key element in Chinese status in international relations. By overcoming them China gained a new international status and increase its role in Asian Pacific Region and in the world. Success of China can be explained by its specific conditions of development and its challenges: .
             - Territory of the country has limited resources .
             - Population potential is very high .
             - Costs of labor force are extremely low .
             - Chinese market is the biggest in Eurasia .
             - High level of technological development .
             - Increasing of military power .
             Also, Majority or rural population in China is busy in livestock farming and tillage. Due to the big territory of barren lands, about 100 million of rural population has to migrate to the city to find a job. Big and medium cities in China are very cramped and cannot provide a free space territory for everyone. In this respect a government creates and develop concept of Big China. It is economical and political integration on the basis of the Asian Pacific region. Capital flows between China Hong Kong and Taiwan reached the amount of 650 billion. GDP of China is almost 10 trillions. (World Bank 2014) The main geopolitical advantage of China is humanitarian attitude in internal and external policy. Asian pacific region became a power in geopolitics with the leadership of China.
