The Impact of Family on Education

Has a death of a family member affected your education skills? I come from a world consisting of a father and mother, one sister, with two twin brothers. Both of my parents are college educated and come from very diverse and different cultures and backgrounds. My parents have taught me that different people and things make the world a more beautiful place. My twin brothers have also taught me the importance of striving for a good education and life. My sister as a high school dropout always told me to never give up, no matter what I do. Overall, my family has instilled in me that hard work and being dependable, reliable, inquisitive, positive, an independent thinker, personable, sure of myself, and determined will always pay off. I apply that line of thinking in my day to day quest to be a respected individual with a consistent goal of getting the best grades that I can, ultimately finishing community college, and as well as graduating from, a university. Within this I was not so great with my education because of moving schools, a huge wake up call and taking on challenges.
Obviously, my family has been good at steering me in the right direction; however, it was not always an easy road during their mentoring of me. There were some life experiences that formed and changed my life. In my early years, I attended a private school named North Hills Christian School. North Hills was a very comfortable fit for me because I started going there since the age of two until I was ten. I still recall, in 5th grade my scary teacher Ms. Feters, would always have us walk into class, sit down, read the prompts, and start writing. It was the last week of the school and the reading was about, "bees." I read it and did not know what I read, and kept reading it over and over again, and still had no clue. My paper was a mess and I failed the paper and gave up on English when I was only ten years old.
