Government Control in North Korea

Each year North Koreas government spends over 2/3rds of it income on building up its military. Even though North Korea does have the 3rd strongest military in the world, their citizens should get more respect. The citizens are forced to work many countless hours each day in either fields, or in a mill packing boxes (Head). Then they can go home to see there family for a few short hours and then have to go back to their job. One of the most cruel jobs that the government can assign you is to help out at the prison camp. In the prison camps everyone is treated the same. They hardly ever get fed, they have to work 24/7, and they don't get to see their family. By the time that most of the prisoners get released or die, their spinal cord is shaped at a 90 degree angle from bending down and lifting materials all the time (Head). In the prison camps they will beat you if you mess up to the slightest extent. If you were to be carrying a bundle of sticks and accidently dropped one, you would be beaten with a 3inch wide leather whip until you could see the bones in your body. These are all of the many problems that need to be fixed in the cruel country of North Korea.
North and South Korea are always in some sort of feud. Both countries governments function the same way ("North Korea/South "). They are both very strict and controlled. The main cause of the strict rules and cruel punishments are because of the never ending feuds between the two countries. Even though most feuds start over border crossings, most of the time a citizen from one side will escape to the other, and this is how the prison camps and strict rules were invented ("North Korea/South "). Both countries have strict rules of freedom because they are scared more and more people will try to leave. Eventually neither country would not have any citizens left. The prison camps were invented for the people who do cross the border successfully but eventually get caught (Head) After a while of inforcing the prison camps, North Koreas government started using them as punishments for their own citizens.
