The Michael Brown Riots

Throughout the world today many black youth are being killed by the people who are suppose to protect and serve us. In Ferguson, Missouri police officer shot and killed Michael Brown, an unarmed teenager. He was shot multiple times in the face and body, even though his hands were up. Should it be that police officers should not be killing unarmed civilians? The black people of Ferguson are reaching a boiling point when it comes to racial inequality in this death. Why was deadly forced used by the officer, greater percentage of white cops over black, and social and conservative media tending to twist up facts and add energy towards their beliefs. This is leading to the people of Ferguson to the streets to protest the way this all happened because the police should be protecting and serving us. .
Racial tension between the police force and minority communities have lead a big part in the shooting of Michael Brown and riots. Majority of white cops over African American cops. Many incidents have not been faulted at the police directly, but basically state that black people represent a threat to the cops. Which allow the police to use deadly force, even if they are not armed. In Ferguson, there are 67 percent of black people but the police force only has three black officers. While there are 94 percent of police officers who are white. In a over populated area of African Americans, the mayor of Ferguson is white, five of the six members of council are white, and six of the seven members of its school board are white. According to Rodney Epps, an African American city council member said, "You're dealing with white cops, and they don't know how to address black people. "This is totally true because the white cops are ignorant believing they are better than the minority based on not living in poorer parts of county. They also take advantage of their superior powers and shot them. Another thing is white cops are institutionally racist because if they see black youth in wrong areas that means they are criminals.
