It has come to my attention that the state board of education stating is trying to decide whether to let student stand for the Pledge of Allegiance or not. This is important to me because on the first day I went to school, my parent told me that standing for the Pledge of Allegiance shows many good qualities of each person. Thus, I think that student should stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. Especially, three of the good qualities, that standing for the Pledge of Allegiance expresses, is the thankfulness, the united spirit and the respect.
First of all, students should stand to show the thankfulness to the heroes who were died for the freedom of America. America is a free and independent country, it is also one of the strongest country in over the world. All of these things that America is having because of the hero's large services. How would you feel if students can learn the lesson about the gratefulness without books or notes? Standing for the Pledge of Allegiance helps student learn the best lesson from the life. This is the thankful lesson, the life lesson. However, thankfulness is not the only reason that students should stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
Beside the thankfulness, standing for the Pledge of Allegiance improves the united spirit of Americans. When all students stand together in the school for the Pledge of Allegiance, it shows forcefulness, unity in which no one can break up that spirit. I understand that some people may think that students have a clear constitutional right to not recite and stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, but standing together shows the beautiful meaning when students which do not have the same skin color but have a big united spirit for one nation. Also, standing for the Pledge of Allegiance shows the unity which is exactly the necessary quality that each of the students should have in life. Additionally, standing for the Pledge of Allegiance does not only show the unity, but also expresses the respect for the country.
