Personal Narrative - Moving Day

Waking up this morning, one thought swept through my mind: I am moving today and my life is about to change. Will I fit in? Will they like me? My parents tell me not to worry. Mom says that I will do just fine and this change will be a good thing for me. This is a chance to start fresh and I can be whoever I want to be. I remember the day my mom told me I was moving. It was a cool, winter day. My sister and I were getting ready to go to dance. My mom and dad were sitting around the wood, kitchen table. They had a very mysterious look on their faces. I glanced at my sister.
My dad was the first one to say something to us. He told us to sit down. Unsure of what was going to happen, we both scattered to the closest chair and listened intently. My mom said, "Liv, I know how you've been having a hard time in school and with everyone here."" You're mother found a beautiful house in Robbinsville, New Jersey just a half an hour away from here, less than two minutes away from Maggie Moos." Sadness filled my sister's eyes. She turned her face down towards the table. A tear streamed down her cheek. After that tear, her hazel eyes filled up with tears. She would be leaving her best friend that she has been friends with forever behind and she would be moving on to newer things. I was both excited and nervous to embark on this new journey in my life.
"Bella, Olivia, Come downstairs, breakfast is ready." My mom screams up the stairs. Rising from my bed, I can smell the delicious waffles my mother has prepared. Walking down the steps, I counted each step. 32 steps. The last day I will ever walk down these steps. As I reach the last step, I look around at what used to be my living room and kitchen. The walls are stacked all the way to the ceiling with boxes. Hundreds of boxes. Everything is packed up. The couches that used to line the walls are gone. The decorative tree that we used to take all of our pictures in front of is packed.
