This statistical data represents that going to college and earning a bachelor's degree will not guarantee a job associated with a student's area of study. Moreover, if the economy remains stagnant, then students will continue to face difficulty earning an adequate earning to pay the startling debt. Despite the fact that these jobs do not offer a sufficient income, service and manual labor vocations are an integral part of society, ones that need to be filled. People in these occupations could have saved a lot of money if they had bypassed college and directly entered the workforce from high school. .
Colleges are evaluated by their quality of education, which acts as a significant aspect of analyzing the worth of the tuition. The faculty of many colleges have changed over the past years with the Delta Cost Project in 2010 reporting ".that between 1998 and 2008, America's private colleges increased spending on instruction by 22 percent while increasing spending on administration and staff support by 36 percent" (The Economist Newspaper 1). The increased spending on staff support is likely due to increasing numbers of full-time associate staff members, which substantially deteriorates the education since fewer professors with a PhD will be available. Moreover, spending more money on instruction reflects how dependent colleges have become on textbooks and other reference materials. Education in college serves as a significant factor for the tuition's worth but the high school preparation also plays an equally influential role on its worth. An unprepared student would be wasting time and money in a place where he or she would ultimately fail. It may not even be the student's fault for being unprepared since a high school's education is based on its circumstance in the environment. For example, one in a poor environment would receive a poor education that would most likely prevent one from doing well in college.
