Schools and Mandatory Physical Education

Also people who don't take part in P.E. doesn't now that they are taught that there are ways to stop injuries; like stretching, a suitable warm up and a cool down.
P.E. teaches people self-discipline and how to set goals, these skills are what people use in their daily lives. P.E. also teaches people how to win and lose in the correct manner so if they are in competitive situation they know how to cope with it. The European Union says 'P.E.helps children learn to respect and value their own bodies and abilities, and those of others'. The government want people to be healthier and P.E. is the answer to this problem. Is it not dreadful that young people are not encouraged to take P.E. after the age of 16?P.E. can help any age and any ability become fitter ,healthier and enjoying the way they feel about themselves. P.E. can help children concentrate better in classes and improve academics which is a better thing for other teachers and parents. We know this because there is myriad research that proves that students need adequate amounts of physical activity throughout the school day to improve their academics.
P.E. also strengthens pupils relationships as it uses teamwork in team games to get pupils working together and forming new friendships that can last for a person's whole entire life. P.E. can help people gain fitness so they are able to do a more physically demanding jobs when they are older. P.E. is an encouragement to others as if you see people doing something fun in P.E. this will encourage other people to join in and get active. Obesity is expensive for the National Health Service so if more children were involved in P.E., that would reduce the number of people being obese which would save the NHS money. This might lower the taxes for working people meaning it will be an all round good thing for everyone. The NHS would have more time and available money to give to people with more serious health problems.
