Surprisingly this government was created in 1952 by Sergeant Batista, who ironically also promised to create and lead Cuba's first democratic government. For many years Cuba had been known as a country that required a large dependency on the United States and other neighboring countries due its history, economic status, and their lack of resources and capital. However their relationship with the United States had deteriorated due to nationalist resentment. Although Cuba was undergoing the process for revolutionary change the way that Cuba was heading was all held liable by Cuba's own hero, Fidel Castro who was responsible for the elimination of Sergeant Batista in 1959 to end the revolution, but Fidel Castro was taking an unexpected communist turn for his country. Fidel Castro continued slowly but surely to turn Cuba into the first communist state in its side of the world. During the whole process Fidel Castro was in constant contact with their Soviet Union alliance.
The Cuban Revolution began with what seemed as many great major changes within Cuba to the everyday citizens. As Fidel Castro improved the healthcare and education he sacrificed Cuba's economic efficiency to increase their social wellbeing. Fidel Castro removed most of the private land and companies, and to top that with his unique dictatorship style he forced an incredible amount of members of the middle and upper classes into exile. Due to this foolish act by Fidel Castro there was a huge decline in Cuban productivity. Simultaneously the United States tried to overthrow Castro's government supporting a Cuban exiles invasion in April 1961, but failed. Fidel Castro made Cuba a model country throughout Latin America, but artificially of course by establishing leftist parties exiling all students and intellectuals from well of families that could potentially make a political/social impact in Cuba. .
As Cuba continued their social inequality and political repression it lead to years of uprising Latin America guerrilla warfare and urban terrorism in rural areas.
