Human Interaction and Communication


            Human interaction has benefited with perceptual understanding. Increasing progressive activity towards social equality. When we are involved in making our community better we give ourselves a sense of purpose. Barnlund and Bellah et al. present a common interest of communicative involvement and societal progress. Present day compromise is benefited from considerate communication between global societies. These acts of understanding and working together enhances global linking. Although diversity creates cultural boundaries between nations, through various types of communication the perception of one another is accepted; allowing the differences of individuals to be understood universally. This understanding allows diversity to be overlooked to help settle differences peacefully. Author of "Communication in a Global Village", Dean Barnlund, presents his beliefs on cultural perspectives and empathy to help find connections between different cultures. Making efforts to come to amity and compromise, and how it derives a "global village" as Barnland would put it. Barnlund explains how society connects through similar experiences and relatable sensations. The personal perspective of not only global villages are looked at, more specifically they care looked at as either male or female. American writer and teacher, Scott Russell Sanders, author of, "The Men We Carry In Our Minds", illustrates the world from a man's perspective, the consequences of his actions, and the restrictions toward women. Sanders was a professor at the Indiana University and is very involved on the topics of his writings. His main focuses are on the preservation of environmental systems, social inequity, and family. The authors share similar interest in understanding the perceptions of society, the importance of communication, and connection of different cultures. Human interaction has benefited with perceptual understanding.
