India and Nuclear Energy


            Nuclear Power is the power that is released by manipulating atoms, by splitting them apart or fusing them together. Finally there are some minerals included as energy sources in the non-renewable category. Nuclear Power is the forth-largest source of electricity in India after thermal, hydroelectric and renewable sources of electricity. India's first research nuclear reactor and its first nuclear power plant were built with assistance from Canada. France was the first country to sign a civilian nuclear agreement with India on 30 Sept, 2008, followed by other countries. These are Russia, Mongolia, Namibia, Argentina, UK, Canada, Kazakhstan, South Korea, US and Sri Lanka. US and Sri Lanka are latest countries which ink civil nuclear deal with India. India and Sri Lanka sign civil nuclear Pact. This is the first such agreement Sri Lanka has signed with any country.
             India has come to know about the importance of nuclear energy. So, PM Narendra Modi signs pacts with different countries to produce a nuclear energy. There is a lack of electricity in India. So India want to produce nuclear energy in own country. PM signs a MoU to those countries which can help the India in his 'Make in India' mission and nuclear power. India also understand the civil nuclear energy's importance because all countries are powerful then India like China and Pakistan. India is the country of the Buddha, Lord Mahavira, Ashoka and Mahatma Gandhi who preached non-violence to the world. However, conditions do not always remain the same. The political situation in the world has drastically changed during the last few decades. Now there has been a rat race among the advanced countries of the world to produce weapons of mass destruction. Under such circumstances, the principle of Ahimsa or non-violence has lost its relevance. Demand for a nuclear bomb continues to be raised in India because China in our north is already a super nuclear power.
