Morality and Ethical Codes

This essay is about justice and morality and people's ethical code. It starts with Plato's notion of Justice and moves on to a sophist philosopher Thrasymachus who simple believed that our justice is serving the interest of the stronger people in society rather than the weaker. It seems like in today's society he is right. It is the stronger people who survive. He also believed that the just actions is the obedience to the law should be met. Morality is a necessity in today's world if you don't have it the world would be in total chaos. There would be uncontrollable murders, thief, rapes, and looting. .
The opinions of different great people were criticized by Plato. The point of Polemarchus' justice is a perfect example. According to him "justice is doing well to friends and harm to enemies". Ethics are rules set by society. To be a part of society and to be treated as an equal member of society, I would have to abide by those rules. If ethics dictate that I would have to kneel down to my elders every time I cross path with them, then I would have to kneel down as they walk cross my path. For those who do not follow ethics of that society, society may cast those people down consequently.
Raising my children in a Christian family with great devotion and being instilled with Christian morals, there are times that my morals conflict with the ethics set by society and other times when ethics and morals agree with each other. Morals, in my opinion, are the principles that have been instilled in me by my grandparents and by my teachers and pastors. One of those principles are "thou shall not kill." Morally, I believe that as a human being, I do not have the right or power to kill someone or something because that is exclusively set for "God" that is left up to him. I also know that if someone tries to harm my family or myself in any way, I have then have that right to defend myself, and my family in whatever means necessary.
