Affirmative Action in America

In general, there is not even a single word which can be used in the definition of education. So many scholars have defined education by using their own methods and ways, the irony is that the end result of their definitions summarize education simply as conveying of skills or knowledge from one individual to the other or from one institution to the other. The institution may be a society, or even the learning institutions such as schools to another person. Education is also a word which may be used to mean leading something out; in this context it means removing from dark and directing to the light, the dark is ignorance while light is basically knowledge- the Latin view. On the other hand, the Socratic method views education as that which comprises of pulling out what the learners already know; all these attest to the fact that education is basically the process of passing knowledge. In my context, I will look at the one done in schools and universities (Halimm, 241). .
The education includes the training through which an individual would learn the way to carry out themselves in a human way and therefore attaining the identity which is recognized by their cultures. This process requires a lot of enduring during which the behavior adjustments take place within the classroom set up and the school environment. The education which has been practiced in the past, however, undergoes evolution through the continuous improvements which have been made; even today the education sector needs to be improved for effective education systems. Martin Luther King addressed issues in his book "I Need a Dream" which he felt must be changed within America so as to be considered the great nation of which he dreamt. These issues also spread into the education sector and therefore preventing it from becoming great (Lynch, 395). In his book, Martin Luther King talks strongly against inequality with reference to the racial discrimination.
