My Dog Codin

"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself" (Josh Billings). Codin, my first dog, is by far the best gift I have ever received. He is friendly, adorable, loving, caring and loyal. It's hard to find all these qualities in people now days. People, who know me well, know how much I hated dogs. With all the attention and love this little dog has given my family and I, he sure changed my whole perspective about dogs, I now love and care for all dogs. Daily, he does something sweet and lovely to make me smile and laugh. Codin is a full breed black Chihuahua, he has a white paw, white chest, and he has a curly tail that is never straight. I always get complimented on his ears because they are double the size of his small head. A nice, wild and very crazy dog. It's hard to believe how such a small dog can have such a big heart. He is now 3 years old and he is very healthy, nice, and clean. Very playful! He hates kids and bikes. He loves my family and boyfriend, and, he gets very jealous when any of us get near each other. Codin is a very spoiled dog.
My boyfriend hated that I didn't like dogs and basically forced me into choosing a dog of my interest or he would've gifted me the ugliest one he could find. At that moment I was afraid of an ugly dog but now I know that no dog is ugly and each one of them is cute in their own way. Every dog deserves to have a loving and caring family. My boyfriend and I found him on Craigslist for $150. When we picked him up he was a sad 2 month old puppy. I don't think his previous owners treated him well because for a while he was afraid of everything: the broom, mop, vacuum, cats and even strangers. He didn't start barking until a few months later. However, I fell in love with him the moment I picked him up. Honestly, the way he looked at me shouting for help and love touched my heart, instantly. Never in my life would I have thought I would love a dog so much.
