Managing Autism in the World of Business



             The syndrome has more recently been classified as an autistic spectrum disorder. Children and adults with Asperger's Syndrome have an intellectual capacity within the normal range, but have a distinct profile of abilities that has been apparent since early childhood. This project covers how autistic people have come up in the business world today.
             1.2 Objectives of the Study.
             1. To study about autism and autistic people.
             2. To study about autistic adults in business.
             3. To study about successful autistic people in the business world.
             1.3 Scope of Study.
             The research project is about autistic people in business with the use of secondary data. It is an attempt to find out how autistic people work in a business environment. The aim of this project is to study how autistic people turn their disability into an advantage in business.
             1.4 Research Methodology.
             1.4.1 Formation of the problem.
             Autistic people are neglected in today's world. They are ignored because of their problem. People tend to not take them seriously. It is much harder for an autistic person to adapt to a new environment.
             1.4.2 Collection of the data.
             Research data was of one type i.e. secondary data. The secondary data was collected through newspapers articles, books and websites.
             1.4.3 Research Limitation.
             Research was limited only to the extent of secondary data. It was not possible to go out into the field and interview autistic people.
             2.1 What is Autism?.
             Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them. It is a spectrum condition, which means that, while all people with autism share certain difficulties, their condition will affect them in different ways. Some people with autism are able to live relatively independent lives but others may have accompanying learning disabilities and need a lifetime of specialist support. People with autism may also experience over-or-under sensitivity to sounds, touch, tastes, smells, light or colours.
