Considering the possibility of the physical and psychological side effects as well as losing potential contributors to the greater good, and a long waiting list of adoptive parents, choosing adoption may be a better choice than abortion. There are several methods of abortion followed by possible physical and psychological side effects. According to National Right to Life, in abortion techniques, suction aspiration uses a suction device to sharp end to the empty uterus. Dilation and evacuation uses a sharp metal jaw to grape and tear apart and crushes a skull to remove, and mifepristone-abortion pill stops giving nutrition and attacks with a toxic chemical to break down cells. .
             Many doctors say an abortion is safe; however, it is not one hundred percent guarantee. In many countries, abortion is illegal; therefore, each year, 47,000 women die from unsafe abortion which was 13% of all deaths (WHO). Millions of women are injured, some seriously and permanently, by unsafe abortion (Guttmacher). Physical risks after an abortion include abnormal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and bleeding; serial consequences during abortion process include an infection, damage to the cervix, perforation of the uterus, persistent bleeding, and death (Adler). Research form REAL Health Care Respects LIFE found that about 10 percent of women had these physical health issues, and one-fifth were life-threatening cases. Long term health issues from abortion may increase miscarriage, severe bleeding by placenta previa, and preterm birth for next pregnancy. Psychological risks include depression, insomnia, eating disorders, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts (Adler).
