Abortion

Republicans have agreed to sit down with pro-choice activists in a private meeting before the GOP Convention in Philadelphia to discuss the issue of Abortion. Abortion has been our country's most controversial topic on hand. You are either Pro-life or Pro-choice? Many movements has been made by Pro-life, and Pro-choice due to the 1973 Supreme court decision in the case of Roe vs. Wade which made abortion legal. In the U.S. pro-choice and pro-life movement are both powerful and active. Pro-choice, and Pro-life groups are very active at the state level and have successfully influenced legislatures and government into creating laws about Abortion.
To be Pro-choice is to believe that a woman has the right to decide for herself when and whether to have a child. It means believing that women are moral decision-makers. It means believing that women can decide on their own, based on their personal beliefs, health, and life circumstances.
To Pro-lifers, they do not believe in Abortion. Extreme Prolifers do not believe in Abortion even on the case of rape or incest. They believe no woman has a right to take life. They define the moment of life at the conception not birth. Therefore the embryo is living being to them.
I am against Abortion. Life is precious, and should be protected by the law. For Abortion to continue to be legal would cause more harm than good. People would still continue having abortions. Perhaps if there were real alternatives to abortion, maybe Abortion would not even be necessary. By choosing adoption the baby wins by gaining the only life it will ever have, You win knowing that you did the right thing, and a loving couple wins by fulfilling their dreams of raising a child.
