            Computer Networking-Reasons and usage.
             Before we begin, one must know the reasons to network and how to utilize a computer-networking environment. We begin by gathering some of the key hardware and software related to networking. We also introduce several key networking concepts. Much of the material we present here is done so from a general perspective. Once a computer-network is up and on-line, we are able to share information and resources between computers.
             Before we respond directly, consider for a moment what some people do when they attend a professional conference or meeting "they usually engage in some form of networking. That is, they seek out people in an attempt to establish contacts so they can exchange or share information. Collectively, these individuals form a human network. Things are not that much different in the computer world. Specifically, the term "networking" refers to the concept of connecting a group of systems for the expressed purpose of sharing information. The systems that are connected form a network.
             Some of the basic hardware or devices that will be needed are at least two computers, network card, and a hub. There are other things that can come up as a concern like Internet access and speed of the Internet. When the basic network is connected, other concerns and upgrades can be added at will. Always keep in mine flexibility and expansion. .
             There is always a second part to putting together a network of computers. This next section is software. At this point, you need to ask yourself just what type of net work do you want to run. Part of this is picking the type of operating system that supports it. Once this is all installed and the systems that are part of your network have been installed, you need to determine which one of the computers will be designated as the server. When that decision is made, than the rest of the computers on the network are called clients.
