Freud: The Unconscious Basis of Mind

Freud believed surfacing the repressed desires from the unconscious by psychoanalysis therapy. Freud claims that it will "cure" the mental disorder or illness and explain all human experience it terms of instincts deprived dysfunction. .
             Diagnosis.
             Freud states a person's well-being or mental health greatly depends on the well-balanced relationship among the different part of the mind and between the individual and the demand of society. .
             Prescription.
             To achieve this balance requires a long process of therapy sessions over a period of years by encouraging the patient to talk of whatever is on their mind or to talk out the repressed desires from the unconsciousness level. If the repressed desires refuses to surface into the conscious level which the unconscious knowingly senses its tactic then it is considered "resistance". The objective is to bring out the repressed complex to the conscious level state of mind. The goal of psychoanalytic treatment can be sum up as self-knowledge.

             A definition of pseudoscience is set of ideas based on theories put forth as scientific when they are not scientific. Like Scientology, Freud's psychoanalysis leads all pseudoscientific psychotherapies of false and misleading claims. Scientology claims that with a process called "auditing," cure many diseases, such as cancer, because these diseases are psychosomatic, and can help you get over the psychological problems that cause these diseases within series of level. Both theory claim to "cure" psychological and physical illness through set of psychotherapy treatments that requires the subject to be analyze for a period of long sessions. Both practice and theory have been criticized for being a quasi-religion and cult-like institutions which uses the process of mind-control techniques in another word, brainwashing, where one lose the ability to think rationally and logically, thus is vulnerable to suggestive influences.
