             .
Mr. Green, my history teacher, and Mrs. Taylor my art teacher, share many of the same teaching methods. They both give lectures. Mr. Green paces the room at a furious tempo. He gets very enthralled in the subject matter. Mrs. Taylor gives precise definitions on the lecture's main points. She captivates you with her intellectual skills. She makes the class feel involved by just listening. They both give extra point activities. Mr. Green makes obtaining the bonus points a daunting task. He requires extensive research on a narrow field of topics. He insists on you having a five-page paper on your chosen topic. He demands the paper to be extremely thorough. On the other hand, Mrs. Taylor makes it rather easy. She requests you find a strange piece of art to bring to class. Then you must repaint it and write what you think it symbolizes. .
Although Mr. Green and Mrs. Taylor are close in age, their views are totally different. After his wife's death, Mr. Green's attitude on the outside world seems negative. However, Mrs. Taylor has a positive outlook on life. She always gives constructive advice on matters at hand. She seems to be able to bring out an encouraging observation on a students dilemma. She always tells wonderful stories about her youngest daughter, Kristen. Mrs. Green is very keen on giving advice about having healthy relationships with family members.
