             Setting: modern American city, at the Verona, greathearted. gorgeous, fashionable, a Capulet mansion, cars, guns. Church, beach, firework at the party, Catholic, impetuous, indulge, luxurious, dissipate. The love scenes are played very smoothly and it played at the Capulet's mansion (swimming pool). The combat and quarrel sense is played on the street and beach.
             Characterisation: the characters in the play are Romeo, Juliet, Nurse, Paris, Mercutio, Benvolio, Tybalt, Friar Laurence, the Capulet parent's. The director of the film is chosen good actors to interpretation the character in the play. If the director is chosen the wrong actor the character in the play wont interpretation out, therefore the soul of the character wont come out.
             Original script: Shakespeare's ordinary text is cuts considerably in this film. This help the story more interesting for the audience as moves along as a good pace. Since the setting is in the modern American city, that few lines are changes into more American modern accents. But the love scene is more nature and successful, they didnt change a lot in the love scene. The rhythm of Shakespeare seem didnt use a lot cause some of them didnt make sance to the modern version. .
             Themes from the play: main theme in the play is love and hates. The feud between the two families (Montagues and Capulets) makes the lover to their deaths. Shakespeare certainly explores the natures of love and romance in the play, and sequences. The love in the play it has use in different ways. For example: friendship; parents; relatives; respected adult; coarse, bawdy attitudes. The friendship between Romeo and his friend is powerful and pure friendship love. (eg. the scene that a boy helps Romeo to escape). Romeo's parent is more easy go with and agreeable but compare with the Capulet families they are more fully explored. (eg the scene that the Lord Capulet wants Juliet to marry Paris.) If their situation is getting challenged its make their love changed into cruelty.
