Euthanasia

Even the meaning is full of controversy. today people suffer unbearable pain, with only one wish. Yet doctors and loved ones who want to assist the suffer's journey to life's end are being prosecuted and redented. These individuals are just fulfilling the suffer's wish. To die. This is why euthanasia should be legal in the United States of America. People concieve many misconceptions about euthanasia based on the common definition "assisted suicide." Yes, granted doctors help or permit the patient to die, but they do not murder them. Murder, though, is what these doctors are being charged with. the people whom are prosecuting them can't seem to see the defendant's point of view, which generally is to let the pain subside and "die with dignity." (Agence France Presse.) The Untied States has not felt the suffering of each person's pain. How can they say to end life is worse than to live death in life? "Euthanasia is a continuation in pallative care and doctors must respect apatient's autonomy, including a wish to die." (Pegiasco.) If a terminally ill patient's loved one wishes to let him or her go, they should legally have that right everywhere, including the United States. It is not the government that is suffering, it is the tortured soul and its family and friends. Not only should the terminally ill be permitted to be euthanized, so should the chronically ill. For instance, Maria, a Dutch woman, suffered from anorexia since she was 10 years of age. when she was euthanized, she was 25 yrs. old and weighed a measly 42 pounds. She had confided in her pediatrician, whom she considered a second father, that she wanted to die, not once, but three times. He gave her wish. euthanasia is a choice that should be made by the patient and their family. Nothing should stand between that finality. .
