             Respecting Authority Or Not? .
            
             There are two different types of people in the world: spenders and savers. At different times, I fall into both of those categories. I recently am in the spender's category. I seem to spend when I don't have any money, and save when I do have money. I have always heard to treat money as an authority and to have respect for your money, and if you do then you won't use it in a foolish way. My foolish and unwise spending goes to unneeded cosmetics, unjustifiable groceries, and unnecessary alcohol. .
             My first way I spend money unwisely is on unneeded cosmetics. The problem with spending money on cosmetics is that the cosmetics I use are more expensive than grocery store or pharmacy bought cosmetics. I use Clinique cosmetic products. Clinique runs twice as much per item than normal store bought products. I mainly only buy base and powder from Clinique, but they cost $20.00 individually-- other products cost around $10.00 individually. I pay twice as much for the cosmetics that I buy. I use the excuse that my skin is sensitive, and Clinique is the only makeup that I can use on my skin. The truth is I haven't really tried other products to see if they would work with my skin type. I spend on an average about $40.00 on makeup a month. The other problem in this category is spending money on my hair and nails. I go to the hair and nail salon every two weeks. I do save money by going to my cousin's hair salon. I get my hair cut and colored, and she only charges me $25.00 a visit. I go to a separate salon to have my nails manicured. I pay $20.00 a visit to have touch-ups done to my nails. Therefore adding all of those prices together for personal practices comes to $130.00 a month. That is $130.00 a month on unneeded personal grooming and cosmetics. .
             My second way I spend money unwisely is on uncalled for groceries. I love to cook, and I love to try new recipes.
