Comedy in Drama

I was given the role of a Hunchback, the character I was given was a monster and I had to develop a sense of this character before I present. I had developed a bizarre sense of accent at first which I thought wasn't working at first. However after I played around with different voices I finally found one that would fit well in this presentation. So we had finally given out each role and started working on the script. Then we had looked at the different points where the script was funny and different places where it needed improvements. When we were rehearsing I thought this was one of the times that I thought we had experienced great success. This was because we were all well organized and had everything planned. We had great accents however I thought the Doctor and Igor could have used more improvements. This was because most of the lines were carrier from these two individuals and we should have as a group created a way to make their lines amusing and well done. When I saw the second group's presentation of the monster hotel I was astonished to see how they were able to make their script funny as well as amusing to the viewers. These were the types of structures that I encouraged my group to do, however being scared of the fact that it would not turn out funny they had decided not to and stick with the script. Comedy's greatest skill is the ability to take risks and carry out it efficiently in front of a viewer. Rohan for example from the other Monster Hotel group might not be such a great actor, however since he willing took the risk to try to be funny he had achieved a greater mark then our whole group and had greatly improved from his previous presentations. This clearly states that anything is possible and that we could have made our presentation much better if we had put forth more effort. .
During the presentation I had much strength which I would like to point out. I was loud and clear throughout the presentation.
