Summer

During my stay there my family and I decided to visit Bsharri. I have never been there but I heard all about it from people. Our journey to Bsharri was fun. I saw many amazing things like huge untouched, beautiful mountains forming spectacular shapes. I also saw an ancient castle built on a huge rock.
Before we reached Bsharri we first visited a church built into the bottom of a mountain.
After that we continued our journey. When we reached Bsharri I was surprised to see such an organized town, especially in Lebanon! We first ate at a restaurant called "Mississippi Restaurant". The food was great and filled our stomachs with enough food to last us the rest of the journey. After the restaurant, we went to see Gibran Khalil Gibran's museum. I was very excited for I heard many remarkable things about this man.
When we reached the museum, we all received a brochure and a booklet telling us about the museum and Gibran Khalil Gibran. The museum used to be an old monastery bought by Gibran before he died. He wanted to be buried there when he died. The museum contained Gibran's original works. There was also a room showing us the furniture in Gibran's old room and it contained the desk he studied on. Going through the hallways and rooms of the museum, I felt like I was in a completely different world because it was filled with amazing art and history.
When I saw the last painting in the last room, we were told to visit one more room at the bottom floor. When I entered this room I saw some old furniture and a huge piece of art hanging down from the wall. There was a hole in the side of the room opposite the huge painting. Inside the whole was a piece of art that was made of wood carved in to the shape of tree branches, but if you look between those wooden cracks, you realize that there is a coffin inside. In the coffin lays the dead body of Gibran Khalil Gibran. Outside the hole was a short poem written on the wall.
