Aristotle, Lock, and Rousseau

Aristotle, Locke, and Rousseau all had ideas on many of the same topics. They all thought about what humans did in a free state of nature vs. a structured society. They all also thought about how government was formed. As well as what purpose government serves its people. A third topic that they all shared and interest in was the equality of people. What rights they might have and so on. .
All three men agreed on what happens to humans when they are in a free state of nature. All of them said, indifferent ways, that people do as they please and there is chaos. People did whatever they wished without and consequences to their actions. Each man put his own words a little differently but they all had agreed on the same thing. .
Locke, for example, states the things that are missing in free state of nature to get his point across. Aristotle says the same thing just with different words. He says that people are at their worst when separated from law and justice. Rousseau provides the same information just in even different words. He says that when people enter into structure (government) they gain more freedom from those parameters than they ever had in a free state of nature. .
In the formation of government Locke and Aristotle think the same thing. To know about government it is necessary to find out its origins. It all starts in the family. Multiple families" band together to form a tribe, where they all can rely on one another. . This tribe grows into a society and then they have government. Why the tribes did this was to better each others lives. They got out of the free state of nature and bettered themselves. By looking out for person other than themselves the whole society eventually got taken care of. .
One other necessity for government is equality. All men had good ideas about equality even though they differed slightly in what they said. Rousseau said that the right of the people is social order.
