Suicidal people will always be wishing or telling people that they wish they were dead, or how much better everyone would be if they were not around. A person might have attempted suicide, even if it seemed that they had set it up to get attention, or even talk about past or secret attempts. Many will also take more risks or engage in dangerous activity in order to try to kill themselves. Personality changes are another way to indicate if someone is wanting to commit suicide. A person who changes their moods very rapidly from extreme depression to extreme happiness could mean that there is a problem with them and they will need medical attention. There also may be dramatic changes in weight, sleeping habits and physical activity. If a person is showing signs of any of these does not mean they are suicidal. Sometimes these are everyday activities in certain people. You need to be aware and carefully read that person to see if any of the signs were intended to get attention. This is were you need to be prudent upon your actions.

Rates increase with age and are highest among Americans aged 65 years and older. Elderly people are more susceptible for suicide if they have been divorced or widowed because never remarried. Without remarrying it would be hard not to be thinking about other options besides being alone. Other common ways a suicide would likely to happen are from results of family and individual crisis, such as, loss of a loved one and employment. .
Males are four times more likely to die from suicide than females are, but females are more likely to attempt suicide. More and more people are attempting suicide a year, and nearly 500,000 people attempted this year. Not only are they attempting but most of those people are actually committing suicide, this year 30,000 people were committing.
