What is Wrong with international negotiations?.

What is wrong with international negotiations? My previous essays have already discussed any relationship on the international context is shaped around power, and how an asymmetry of power is a basic need in order to maintain any system. However, just by assuming an essay topic like the one discussed here, it is not hard to assume that a felling of uneasiness surrounds international negotiations. Most of any argument based around power would conclude someway that a balanced relationship of power is the only way to achieve a fair process of negotiation on any international issue. However, that assumption first of all would invalidate my argument on asymmetry by posing a somewhat, empty, teleological hypothesis. In that sense, an asymmetry of power should not be seen as the main problem on international negotiations, rather, it would be more helpful to understand how that asymmetry of power is shaped, and what kind of asymmetry would work in a way that both the interest of the main countries as well as the rest of the international community would be represented and complementary to each other. .
As it has been mentioned before, power can be seen in different dimensions. In the international system, power can be seen as economical, political, cultural and military. The most powerful actors comprise most of these power qualities, however, the United States are the ones who have defined the way the system works, even how power in its different aspects is represented. In this sense, the United States greatest success would be its ability to make most of the dimensions of power to play by they side: Economics around the world are dependent on the American policies and markets, the American military is by far the most powerful of the world, today's pop culture is predominantly defined by American icons, and the international system of politics is built upon institutions such as the United Nations, which are mostly dependent of the United States.
