What happened to the Anti-Nazi Underground?


            During WW2 there was a group of people that were against the Nazis and the Nazis ways. Most of the members of the Anti-Nazi had friends or family members that were Jewish. The anti-Nazi hide friends and family members to keep them from being taken to concentration camps and possibly being killed. Out of the many anti-Nazis three are famous still today Miep Gies, Oscar Schindler, and Mr. Krawler. .
             Miep Gies was born in Vienna, Austria. She said that helping the franks was her way of giving back to those in need. After ww1 she was starving along with most of Europe her parents sent to the Netherlands to be saved from starvation. There the Nieuwenhuises became her adopted parents. Later on she was hired as Mr.Frank's secretary at his spice factory. She said that when she was asked to hide the two families she didn't hesitate. On August 4 the day her friends disappeared she says that she closes her curtains and does not answer her phone or door. She also said that she has never over come the shock. She also says that it was the best thing she had ever done for anyone and she dose not regret it. .
             Many people take very little note of Oscar Schindler. He was dead 6 years before he was recognized. Oscar was born in 1908 in Zwittan in Suden region part of the Austrian empire. He was trained to be an engineer and was raised catholic but was not very religious. He played all the time with his Jewish neighbors and built and raced his own motorcycles. At the age of 20 he married Emile and soon after that he was drafted into the military. Upon his release from the military he returned home and worked for his father at his factory. The factory fell as a victim of the 1930's depression. Oscar soon joined the local Nazi party to secure his orders from the factory. In the year 1939 he set out for Krakow to find his fortune. Contracts brought him huge profits and he learned how to use the corrupt savage system.
