Euthanasia

Euthanasia dates back to about 400 B. - The Hippocratic Oath (By the "Father of Medicine' Greek physician Hypocrites) .
"I will give no deadly medicine to any one if asked, nor suggest any such counsel" Euthanasia is mercy killing, or intentionally ending the life of someone who is hopelessly sick or injured in order to save them from suffering. In ancient times Euthanasia meant an easy death without severe suffering. Sometimes decisions to stop a treatment like dialysis or a breathing machine are also called euthanasia, but they really are not. There is a difference between a patient refusing a treatment and a patient requesting to be killed (www.euthanasia.com). Dr. Jack Kevorkian is responsible for bringing Euthanasia public and more sought after, and Euthanasia should be stopped because suicidal intent will usually pass with time, terminally ill patients who desire death are depressed, and the pain they are experiencing is controllable.
Dr. Jack Kevorkian did not discover Euthanasia he just brought it public. Dr. Kevorkian stresses that he always tries to talk people out of committing suicide and that he will only take patients who support the decision to die. He had publicly acknowledged that he had helped at least 130 people die by assisted suicide. On three previous occasions when charged with 'assisted suicide' the juries refused to convict Kevorkian against the weight of evidence. But that did not happen this time. Soon after he started publicly helping people to die in l990, Kevorkian was stripped of his licenses to practice medicine in both Michigan and California.
Suicide attempt will usually pass with time. Others stopped many from attempting suicide. Many then seek counseling and go on to lead happier and better lives. If they had been "assisted" in their attempts they would never have had that chance. One study of 886 people who were rescued from attempted suicides found that five years later only 3.
