My unexpected gift

.
I went to the movies with a friend of mine that goes to church every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. He had seen the movie already, but decided to accompany me because he knew I was going to have questions throughout the movie since I don't know much about the bible. I felt very uncomfortable because I saw the people going in the movie theater and most of them seemed ready to start crying. I didn't understand, and then everything got more confusing because people were actually talking to each other as they were taking their seats. Talking might not be the right word to describe what was going on, but preaching to each other is more like it. .
Finally, the movie had started playing and everybody was quiet. At first, the movie seems like any other regular movie, but then you start realizing that this movie is deep. The moment the scenes where Jesus is being beat started showing I couldn't hold it, I started crying. A range of emotions came to me; I cannot describe them because I have never felt that way. To see and realize that the things showing actually happened was like a bomb inside of me. I realized that somebody gave his life for us, to save us. .
Then the movie was over and it made me think about the death of an innocent person for the sins of all of us. This movie makes you look about how you are going with your life and what your beliefs are. By the end of the movie, I had cried my heart out. I started thinking about my life and my beliefs, but left like nothing happened, mostly because I wasn't ready to receive the truth. My friend didn't ask anything and I didn't say anything either, I didn't want to lose the image that everybody has of me. I wanted to keep being the girl that didn't believe in anything. Like Mark Twain said "Faith is believing in what you know ain't so". I didn't have faith in anything. I believed that there was something bigger than all of us, but couldn't really say what it was, or who it was.
