Another one is changing language which the client learns to use patterns that reflect positive self-less statements in turn the client will learn to think and behave different. Finally using humor teaches the client that they can become too serious and lose their outlook on life. Ellis himself tends to use humor to combat exaggerated thinking that leads clients to trouble (corey306). Some emotive techniques are rational-emotive imagery, role playing, shame-attacking exercises, and the use of force and energy which will help the client get in touch with their feelings. .
             The third person I mentioned in the begging of this paper is Donald Meichenbaum . Donald's focus is on changing the client's self verbalizations and he has come up with cognitive behavior modification. Meichenbaum also developed what he called stress inoculation training, including the coping skills program.
             The second theory I researched is reality therapy. The key developer is William Glasser he was born in 1925. William started out training on the Freudian model and became aware of the differences between what he was taught to do and what works. He decided later on while working in a facility for delinquent girls that he didn't really liked the way psychoanalytic concepts worked and stared experimenting with a different therapeutic approach(corey370).
             Reality therapists believe that people are responsible for their own behavior and how they think and feel.
