It is known that Aristotle once believed that all tragedies discussed universal truth. The story, "Once upon a Greek Stage", has proven this known fact. This was shown because there was no good or evil, just a flaw and weakness in character. This was demonstrated because Creon is a very harsh and very shameful man because he let his own nephew to die and punishes his niece to die in a cave after she disobeys him. Creon felt that he needed to take leadership and enforce the law, and since Polynices attacked the city, he felt he must die because of his wrongful doings. Also, since Antigone disobeyed the law as well, because of Creon's weak character, he sends Antigone to her death also. If we compare this to Aristotle, Creon was not good or bad, he just showed some weakness in his character and because he was weak, it forced him to make wrong decisions and harm others around him. This is a totally different idea when we take a look at Antigone. We see her as a good character that has heart. Us as readers understand this because of her heart and care, and how we wants to bury Polynices. The story shows the reader that we have one good character, Antigone, and one evil character, Creon. Overall, we see that neither Creon nor Antigone were good or bad, according to Aristotle's quote because of the fact that Antigone chose the wrong way to make her problems better and Creon tried to take over and demand to much, therefore there is no good or bad, just weakness. Throughout this story we see the truth, that every character is not good or bad, jus that there is weakness that in time is noticed by the readers, as Aristotle believed.
