This relatively universal means of classification means that all scientists can look at the classification of an organism and from that have some knowledge of the organism itself. This is a conscious system of classification and differs from our everyday Ad-hoc Classifications.
             Ad-hoc Classifications are everyday simple classifications, such as the sorting laundry into different colours. Such Classifications are invisible until they breakdown or become defunct.
