Ethnic Violence


            
             Ethnic violence has been prevalent throughout the modern history, which have caused millions brutal deaths, the over-throwing of governments, the creation of separate states, genocides, and many other atrocities.
             Ethnicity is categorized by many different divisors such as: Nationality, Tribe, Race, Religion, and Caste systems. While ethnic differences can result in violence, interethnic relations can also cause violence within ones own group. If particular norms within a group are not followed, sanctions are used to repatriate individual(s) back into the group for minor infraction, but hasher punishment like death is resulted in extreme cases.
             Some of the causes of interethnic violence are as follows:.
             When the view of other ethnic groups are repressed for the majority within the government, and all peaceful recourse to arbitrate has been rebuffed, then the situation is prone for violence and civil disturbances. The aforementioned is the cause for many civil wars in most third world countries.
             A shift from one ethnic group running the government to another can cause civil disorder and brutal acts of disturbances. Developed countries that are economical sound and are in good standing with the western nations indoctrination scheme rarely experience chaotic civil disturbances, and when they do occur the insurrection is taken care of in an orderly manner. Furthermore, the country normally goes about its business with many groups being critical of the government inequalities.
             The United Nations through their charter has rules and procedures for countries to govern their people, and they do intervene as warranted to restore control to elected government; they have even pressured repressive to changes their ways. The United Nation uses trade embargoes, financial sanctions, and as a last resort military force to implement changes to rouge governments. The United Nations is very successful when these tactics are applied to developing countries.
